    » ACK!!!!!
HAMILTON (CP) - New Jersey rockers Bon Jovi discovered the true meaning of slippery when wet early Saturday when their private plane skidded off the runway at Hamilton International Airport.

At about 1:30 a.m., a private plane carrying members of Bon Jovi and their touring staff overshot the runway after landing in severe weather conditions in Hamilton, said a spokeswoman for the band.

The Boeing 707 carried 14 passengers plus flight crew and was arriving from Buffalo, NY, where the band played show on Friday night.

The band, staff, and flight crew deplaned with no reports of injuries. Saturday, Monday and Tuesday's shows at Toronto's Air Canada Center will proceed as planned, the spokeswoman said.

    » The Bon List
    Bon... (french); good

In honor of the concert last night (my throat still hurts) I decided to do something a little different. I picked my favorite song from each Bon Jovi album. I *think* I got most (if not all) the albums. I didn't pick from This Left Feels Right because its just a different kind of album. I like all the songs on there in the spirit that they did the album and think its better as a whole. If that makes any sense; and if not oh well. It's my blog. Ha. And yes, the new ones aren't really "albums" but that's a word I refuse to eliminate from my vocabulary.

  • Bon Jovi... Runaway

  • 7800 Fahrenheit... In and Out of Love

  • Slippery When Wet... You Give Love a Bad Name

  • These Days...S omething For the Pain

  • New Jersey... Bad Medicine (which is followed closely by I'll Be There For You. I actually love them both and if I did this again tomorrow the order might be reversed.)

  • Keep the Faith... I'll Sleep When I'm Dead

  • Cross Road... Someday I'll Be Saturday Night This is my FAVORITE Bon Jovi song ever... and I've yet to hear it "live in concert"

  • Crush... Just Older (This is actually one of my favorite Bon Jovi albums)

  • One Wild Night... One Wild Night (I much prefer the Live version of this song than the studio version. It has such a different energy to it.)

  • Bounce... Right Side of Wrong

  • Have a Nice Day... Have a Nice Day

  • I also absolutely LOVE the song Midnight in Chelsea from Jon's solo album Destination Anywhere.

I'm still on a Bon Jovi high this morning. That man is just beautiful and just keeps getting better and better. In the words of Jeff Miers (who wrote the review in today's The Buffalo News (read the review here), "...for the faithful, this band can do no wrong."
    » I Had A {{Nice}} Day

    My throat hurts.
I was not quiet... especially during Just Older.
    Rock On!!
» I'd Like Reality TV A Lot More If...
...it weren't for the STUPID judges! I'm watching Dancing with the Stars and the judges drive me nuts. They're all so rude. Just... yuck.

Now, that being said, I never watch reality shows. But you know that song from An American Tail by Linda Ronstadt? The one that goes, "...it helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky..." Well, in my case it helps to think we're watching the same show on TV. My mom watches this and loves it and I like knowing that we're watching the same thing. Sappy, yeah... I know.

But the show is fun. Except for the judges. But I want you all to know now so its not a surprise sometime in the future. I'm going to marry one of the Lachey boys. Nick or Drew... no preference. Bwahahaha!

    One last thing...
    Tomorrow.
    Bon Jovi.
    YAY!!!!!

» What Kind of Jedi Are You?
    padawan
    Padawan
You are innocent, intellegent, and strong. Your heart is full of light, but you are vulnerable. You look to others for guidance, so you must be wary of who you trust, and who you listen to, for you are still very seseptable to the Darkside. You also crave understanding and are as happy to observe and asses as you are to take part. Your aura of innocence makes others underestimate your strength and wisdom. Like a Jedi Knight, material things mean little to you. You do your best to be a good person and follow the code of the Jedi as close as you can, but are still learning what it truly means.

    The Code of the Jedi
There is no Emotion ~ There is Peace.
There is no Ignorance ~ There is Knowledge.
There is no Passion ~ There is Serenity.
There is no Death ~ There is the Force.

... poor cold babies! (Guess what I'm watching??)

    What an amazing movie.
    » Globe Wrap-Up
What a fun show! I admit to being a bigger Oscar fan than a Globe fan, but last night was a lot of fun. First of all, there's no annoying host making political jokes every fifteen seconds. Secondly, the acceptance speeches were a hoot!

    Some random comments:
  • I was totally baffled watching Live From the Red Carpet yesterday. I could have sworn that I saw Diane Lane walking around in two different outfits. Turns out that one of the Dianes was actually Evangeline Lilly, who I guess is on Lost. They look so much alike! Although, close up, I think Diane is prettier.

  • It was totally sweet that Ryan Phillipe flew in from Toronto to be with Reese. They're a cute couple and they seem so real.

  • Speaking of couples, it was heartwarming to hear Hillary Swank tell Isaac Mizrahi that she wasn't single and was working on her marriage.

  • I have no clue what Weeds is, but it made my day to see Mary Louise Parker win out over the housewives. Wasn't she the one who two years thanked her baby son for her large ta-tas??

  • I didn't see anyone look bad this year. A couple of the outfits wouldn't have been my choice, but overall everyone looked really nice. Well, except Johnny Depp. But I guess that's just his thing.

  • So nice to see John Williams win again (for Memoirs of a Geisha.) I would have liked to see him nominated for Revenge of the Sith but either way, he's a genius.

  • Does Anthony Hopkins prefer to have his name pronounced "Antony"? Or was that just a Gwyneth thing?

  • All in all, it was a great show! Bring on the Oscars!!

    Random comments about miscellaneous stuff:

  • We're moving into our new office on Friday... FINALLY!!!!

  • Another magazine that I like has been discounted. Rodale is no longer publishing Organic Style... bummer! But they sent me a new mag in its place called Experience Life. It looks pretty good. But I'm still bummed.

  • Ray Nagin... I don't even know what to say.

  • I'm actually looking forward to TWO new TV shows this season... Tonight is Love Monkey which looks interesting. I fully admit that it was the Kiss song being played in the ads that made me decide to watch. The other show, Courting Alex with Jenna Elfman looks cute. Couldn't stand her as Dharma but she was cute in EdTV.

  • The Sabres beat Michael Peca last night. Makes me very happy!

  • I set up a new email address for blog comments! Drop me a note at seizethedaisies23@yahoo.com. Have a rockin' day!
